Tamer Rashad is a technology entrepreneur, inventor and investor in Silicon Valley with an accomplished career as a Wall Street executive in the past. Tamer’s latest venture, Humtap, is computational creativity technology startup focused on developing AI music generation and AI video technologies. Humtap’s vision is to empower everyone to transform their creative ideas into interactive studio-quality music and videos.
Before coming to Silicon Valley, Tamer was Managing Director and Head of Merrill Lynch for the Middle East & Africa, and board member of several private and investment banking subsidiaries in Europe and the MENA region, then CEO of LGT Private Bank (Middle East). Tamer held key leadership roles as Managing Director at Bank of America and Merrill Lynch in New York. He was also Head of Corporate Strategy at Countrywide Financial and American Airlines.
Tamer holds several U.S. patents in technology and social media algorithms. He is a graduate of the London Business School, and the University of Surrey, alumnus of executive programs at Stanford, Singularity Univ., Wharton, INSEAD, and NYU, and is a U.K. Foreign & Commonwealth Office & Chevening fellow and scholar.
